India is steadily moving toward the 100th anniversary of its independence. In this context, the Member of Parliament from Kashi and the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, has emphasized the vision of “24x7 for 2047.” Taking inspiration from this vision, initiatives have already begun in Kashi. In the Prime Minister’s parliamentary constituency of Varanasi, the Kashi Arogya Vikas Parishad has launched a series of expert panel discussions focused on healthcare services for the year 2047. The insights and recommendations emerging from these discussions will be compiled into a Vision Document and submitted to both the Central and State Governments.
These panel discussions are being organized jointly by the Kashi Arogya Vikas Parishad and the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University. The initiative brings together a wide range of stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, medical specialists, health administrators, nursing superintendents, paramedical officers, artificial intelligence experts, health insurance representatives, banking professionals, and scholars from Indian Institute of Technology, to gather diverse perspectives on the future of healthcare. Under the theme "Healthcare for a Developed India 2047", these panel discussions aim to identify pathways for delivering improved healthcare services over the next five years. The primary objective is to develop a forward-looking healthcare roadmap by 2029 that will contribute to the realization of a Healthy Kashi, Healthy Uttar Pradesh, and Healthy India.
